If you’ve made up your mind that it’s time to look for a new Jeep® Wrangler, you should make your way over to our dealership to check out the Jeep SUVs in our new car inventory. While we think it’s great that you’ve already chosen the make and model you want, you still have one more decision to make. Now, you have to decide whether you’re going to lease or buy a new Jeep Wrangler.
Leasing vs. Buying
Deciding whether to lease or buy an automobile can be difficult, but it’s easier to decide after you consider a few things. Here are some questions you should ask yourself:
- Do you I driving a new vehicle every few years?
- How many miles do I accumulate annually?
- How big is my down payment?
- Do I have plans to modify my automobile?
- Am I hoping to add a capital asset to my personal balance sheet?
In general, it’s wiser to lease a car if you plan to get a new one in a few years, you have a small down payment, and you don’t accumulate many miles on a daily basis. Conversely, buying is often the better choice if you’re going to modify your automobile and you want to add a capital asset to your portfolio.
If you want to keep your monthly payments as low as possible, you may prefer to lease. Motorists who travel with kids or pets regularly and drivers who go off-roading are usually better off buying a vehicle because they won’t have to worry about paying penalties at the end of a lease.
